Buck’s always been lovable, nice, always looking forward to help, to give more which is how they tolerated him during his Buck 1.0 phase as he himself calls it. He thinks she’s loud, and way too reckless for anyone’s good really. He does, but it’s bad and he’s not one for conflict. Jealous Eddie’s back apparently and he hates Donato.Ĭhimney doesn’t have much of an opinion on her. “Eddie Diaz.”Ĭhimney catches Hen’s eye and raises his eyebrows. “Lucy Donato.”Įddie raises his eyebrows, looking at her up and down with what Chimney knows is absolute judgement and smiles fakely, shaking her hand. Eddie rolls his eyes and Buck steps away to let both Hen and Chim sandwich Eddie in a bear hug.Īnd Lucy steps forward confidently, holding out her hand. “Hey, once you’re done making the goo goo eyes, we’d like a hug too.” Chimney pipes up from behind. His hand’s still curled around Buck’s waist and it belongs there somehow, Chimney thinks it looks natural, like they do it all the time. Įddie beams at him, sporting the heart eyes he’s been directing at Buck for years. Chimney’s more than confused now, because since when do they do that shit ? They look like… lovers. He missed Hen more than words could describe when he lived in Boston.īuck’s the first one to break the embrace, framing Eddie’s face, not bothering to hide the awestruck, foolish grin he’s wearing. It’s a little ridiculous considering the fact that they’ve spent the past few weeks joined to the hip whenever they weren’t working but he can understand being glad to have his partner back. Eddie folds him close, and doesn’t bother stepping away for a few minutes, as they sway around and just breathe each other in.

“Surprise.” Eddie smiles, private like it’s just for Buck, and opens his arms.īuck doesn’t need more to dive into them, squeezing Eddie tightly. “Eddie.” He says, voice wobbly around the edges. “Hey so where did you get the thai from last night ?” Chimney asks Buck in the locker room but Buck’s busy staring at Eddie.Įddie who’s in uniform, in front of them, smiling, beaming.Ĭhimney looks over to Buck again, and it’s obvious how Buck’s breath catches in his throat as he jumps out of his seat.
